The software is free and yours forever — each product open-source under its own licence (the Messenger under AGPL; the others under permissive or copyleft open licences). We charge for the service — keeping it current and secure, running it for you, and supporting it. One ladder spans the whole suite: Messenger, Matrix Server, Concordance and Sovereign Git.
Prices below are proposed structure, not final figures. The transparent cost floor is about €20/month per box plus storage; managed tiers add a clear operations margin.

It runs forever
No kill-switch, no expiry. A lapsed subscription gates your next update; it never disables the build you already run.
Every release is traceable
The "Powered by VakeWorks vX.Y.Z" stamp ties each instance to a public source tag, so anyone can check the exact version running.
The moat is value, never lock-in. You pay for a curated, tested, stamped release stream; managed hosting and hardening; and support. Cancel and you keep everything you were handed — you simply stop receiving new updates and managed operation. This holds the VakeWorks Non-Monopolisation Pledge at every tier.
How signing up will work
We are building sign-up and checkout on an EU-sovereign payment path with minimal personal data and no dark patterns — and an exit-guarantee panel shown at the point of sale, not buried in a contract. Until that is in place, getting started is a conversation:
